My March Fix is here! I didn’t request anything specific for this month’s box, so I was totally surprised with the items in the box. Overall, I’d say this box was very mediocre, but there is one item that I fell in love with the moment that I pulled it from the box!
My stylist, Whitney, wrote me a personal note:
Hey Kenia, happy Fix day! I’m thrilled tobe your Stylist today. This Fix is full of chic and easy pieces, with a Queen Bey influence, to transition into Spring, so let’s dive in! The Akela Top is easy, flattering and an effortless way to step up your look. The lines are clean, but the crochet details add the perfect pop. Pair with denim, leggings, or shorts, and you’re ready to go! The Keeleigh Jeans are the ultimate go-to denim! Pair these slimming gems with the Akela, or any top in your current wardrobe, and you’re ready to go! We all love a great pair of heels, no matter the time of year, so I had to send the sexy Ferabeca’s your way. These will add the perfect finishing touch to your look. Let me know how these work out for you. Have fun with the Fix! xo Whitney
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, here’s how it works.
1. Fill out your Style Profile
Begin by filling out the Style Profile. This helps them understand your size, style, shape, budget and lifestyle. Completing your Profile takes about 10 minutes.
2. Pick the date you’d like to receive your shipment
Select a delivery date from the calendar. At the time your Stylist selects your items, you will be charged a $20 styling fee. That $20 will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment.
3. Try everything on in the comfort of your home
Make sure you to try on everything our Stylists have picked for you because you never know what will look great on you. Create new outfits by pairing what’s in your shipment with items that are already in your closet.
4. Buy what you like and return the rest
Take three days to decide what you’ll purchase and what you’d like to send back. You’re only charged for items you choose to keep when you check out.
Check out by logging into your account to pay for the items you want to keep. The $20 styling fee will be applied as credit toward any items you purchase. If you buy all five items, you get 25% off the entire purchase
Simply return the items you don’t want in our prepaid mailer and drop it into any USPS mailbox. Stitch Fix provides free shipping both ways as a benefit of using the service.
So here are the items that Whitney sent me based on my style profile! Stitch Fix recommends that you try everything on because you might feel differently about it once on your body. So, that’s exactly what I did!
Greylin Akela Off the Shoulder Top. Price to keep: $98.00
This is a cute off the shoulder top, which will continue to be on trend this Spring and Summer. The crochet details on bottom of the top is really nice and adds character to the piece. I also like the ties on sleeves. But, I don’t love this item and I don’t think it’s worth the money. I decided not to kept this.
Just Black Keeleigh Distressed Fray Hem Crop Skinny Jean. Price to keep: $88.00
I’m in love with these jeans! And, I’m glad to see that the frayed hem is back in style this Spring! These are very comfortable and the color, ripped knee and frayed hem makes for a more casual look. Also, I really like the price. Most jeans that come in my subscription boxes are designer and very pricey. As much as I like these, I have my eye on another item and plan to stick with my “one item per box” rule this month. I don’t keep these.
Bailey 44 Ellinor Lace Up Back Knit Top. Price to keep: $158.00
I’m so over the button up, lace up, tie up, whatever up back tops. This is one is made of stretchy fabric and is very comfortable, but very plain in front. Also, I like the Bailey 44 brand, but I don’t think this top is worth the hefty price!
Renee C Leena Printed Skirt. Price to keep: $$54.00
This is a nice skirt to wear to work or on weekends with sneakers or sandals. It’s made of a stretchy fabric and sits very nicely on me. I’m not a fan of the color (blah green/black) or of the pattern (thick squiggly snake lines). OK, but I’m not interested in keeping this item
Schutz Ferabeca Slingback Heel. Price to keep: $180.00
love, Love, LOVE these heels! They are definitely higher than what I typically wear – about 3 1/2 inch heels – but my legs look great in these! Kevin thought so too – “wow”, he said! Despite the high heel, the shoe is very comfortable to wear and the neutral color will match almost anything. These are keepers and I’m excited to wear them very soon!
So, what do you think about this month’s Fix! Let me know!
